Standing Theology on its Head

It is very important to be well grounded in the Word of God. To rightly divide what the Bible is saying, when, where, and to whom. If you can’t distinguish the word properly, you will be deceived by an enemy who happily twists every word and puts every doctrine into question.

Recently, my brother shared with me the “standing on its head” doctrine of replacement theology. The very ones who expose this false doctrine are the ones accused of promoting it!

The problem is a two-fold one. As an example, first off, it is the inability to distinguish the letter to the Corinthians by Paul in context. Secondly, it is probably rooted in a biased Biblical view. Clarence Larkin’s book The Greatest Book on Dispensational Truth in the World, published in 1918, was the result of Clarence studying his scripture in depth, thus changing his viewpoint from Episcopalian Theology to Dispensationalism after becoming a Baptist after a few years. I suspect that a misunderstanding of Covenant theology, often viewed as the opposite of Dispensationalism by an overzealous Calvinist, might be to blame for these attacks using “hyper” dispensationalism to fit his accuser’s narrative of replacement theology.

This is nothing more than mudslinging by a minister to promote his own Biblical viewpoint with the hopes of discrediting one of the most powerful tools forging the Reformation, namely Dispensationalism. Then, to further add insult to injury, he dared to claim that he was the one with the Reformed viewpoint!

I can only conclude the videos were done in ignorance, because I cannot imagine any Pastor understanding the Reformation period and concluding that Dispensationalism is anywhere close to Replacement Theology!

I am seeing more and more of this Biblical and theological ignorance appear daily now, complicated by a hatred for Israel. This is much more than a simple matter of opinion or worldview. It is actively a demonic movement of Satan to divide and conquer the Word of God (Jesus Christ) for the coming apostasy, and it is getting more intense by the day!

Matthew 7:15: Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

I Corinthians 11:13: For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

1 Timothy 1:3-5. 3 Timothy, stay there in Ephesus. That is what I told you to do when I went into Macedonia. I want you to command certain people not to teach things that aren’t true. 4 And command them not to spend their time on stories that are made up. They must not waste time on family histories that never end. These things only lead to fights about ideas. They don’t help God’s work move forward. His work is done by faith. 5 Love is the purpose of my command. Love comes from a pure heart. It comes from a good sense of what is right and wrong. It comes from faith that is honest and true.
