Allot of people get very upset if you challenge their faith, (and I do too) but what is more important is the truth which is only found in the person of Jesus Christ. I have always gone to Jesus to teach me greater truths, and unlike theology; what Christ shows us stays with you always!

In my estimation, we only have two choices in how to walk “in Christ” ; we either realize our utter dependency on “Christ’s work alone” within our lives, or we attempt and apply a type of legalism in achieving a superior walk toward perfection, while “using” the Holy Spirit’s assistance.
To the natural understanding within our souls, this may look to be a good option. Yet I firmly believe, this is like taking something blemished and stained of the flesh, and attaching it to an unblemished and unstained article yet expecting it to remain pure.
No place which I’m aware of in the Bible speaks of taking a filthy rag and then laundering it with an unstained garment.

Romans 2:1-3 God’s Righteous Judgment
1 Therefore you have no excuse, O man, every one of you who judges. For in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, practice the very same things. 2 We know that the judgment of God rightly falls on those who practice such things. 3 Do you suppose, O man—you who judge those who practice such things and yet do them yourself—that you will escape the judgment of God?
In all humility I wish to share with others what I have learned about “conceivably” being wronged or hurt and my natural reactions to this.
My perceived wrongs has caused me to react in sort of a defensive posture, I have at times aggressively lashed out at the perpetrator in thinking I was doing right; but what I didn’t see was actually that I had been wounded in my pride, and had even justified myself thinking I was correct to do this “in the Lord” even when applying Bible verse in shoring up my positions! This was due to years of hurt, but now I realize in humility just what Romans 2:1-3 is speaking about; namely my pride of life, and feeling I needed to defend myself!
Yet, what I have learned is that I needn’t have to defend myself, even if I have been wronged!
My Lord Jesus Christ was wronged by the worst, and sometimes by the best of humanity. He never lashed out in his human pride, but rather “took it on the chin” so to speak; and He was God incarnate! The Lord understood that all of us had no idea about what we are doing naturally – and asked for our forgiveness from the Father, even while hanging on the cross!
Pride will not allow us to love others as ourselves, as we justify ourselves in independence of what the Holy Spirit is trying to teach us about our great need for Christ in our lives! Pride allows us to become as the Religious Pharisees had become, and no amount of human dictating the truth, love and mercy of God to a fallen word, has any effect upon a hardened heart.
Therefore, if we are truly following Christ, we must practice this in (true) humility realizing that we are no more able than another to be totally devoid from our own fallen natures – no matter how pious we attempt to be! We cannot truly look past the faults of others and love them unconditionally like Christ did us; without first coming to the point of being broken, crushed, and even humiliated within the confines of our own soul!
If one is unwilling to yield to this type of correction of God, they can never truly forgive others nor even forgive themselves, and as a result, are unable to “love others as themselves”.
That’s what I have recently learned, (perhaps none too late) as my almost 90-year-old father sits in his hospital bed with fluid around his heart and battling pneumonia.
May the Lord forgive me in not understanding my great need to turn over all my pain and misgivings of a man who has always given of himself to the fullest measure; despite his own needs of his soul: which in some ways – are just like me!
1 Corinthians 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
If we belong to Christ, the Lord will naturally move us in; deference, devoutness, devotion, dutifulness, duty, obedience, piousness, piety. If we attempt to do religiousness by ourselves, we are endangered of becoming like the Scribes and Pharisees of old: as the letter of the law kills, but the Spirit makes alive!
I’m simply jotting some thoughts down today about this subject, primarily to share with others what they need to understand about less then honorable motivations often used, (yet not often realized) by allot of people which would rather have you follow them, than the Holy Spirit of the Lord.
Today I am 61 years of age; and one thing I have learned over the years through experience is that even well-meaning people will often use the Lord and the Bible to win people over to a particular type of thinking and actions. Years ago, the late Pastor Gross, D.D. Th.D. PhD (in psychology) would always tell us that never to believe anything he said, without having the Lord confirm it to you first!
He also said to NEVER put God in a “Box” (a belief system about the Lord) as, he would never be able to show you anything! Outside of foundational Bible truths of our faith, we must learn not be swayed by other’s viewpoints which may stray outside of the Biblical texts.
It is fine to learn how to walk in the Holy Spirit by faith alone, and it is even a good thing to understand the cunningness of our enemy Satan, his demons, and his tricks. One important thing to know about the enemy, is that he normally attacks the mind and emotions first, and then the rest of the body only after he is unsuccessful (for the believer). Put on the full armor of God Ephesians 6 10 24 and also remember, the Lord will not give you more than you are able to “stand”, so this normally never becomes a problem for one who is attempting to live by faith in Jesus Christ! Praise God!
Our understanding of the Bible in balance, both in teachings and contexts is very important so as not to become deceived by the enemy; even an ignorant but well meaning soul when espousing bad Bible doctrines may unwittingly fall into this trap. The Lord is well able to protect his people from heresies taught in the scriptures within the providence of our lives; yet it may take some time for our Lord to weed out false doctrines in our lives, even for the most committed believer.
Rather, it is mush better to be instructed in the faith, just who Christ is to us, and how he functions with his Disciples indwelt by his Holy Spirit.
A proper understanding of the Lord in accordance with the scriptures, is the first step in living a healthy spiritual life devoid of what I will call “superstitions”. Remember, Satan simply attacks the emotions and intellect first, so we must learn to “cast down imagination” to a more rational understanding of the God of the Bible. We must never allow our fears to cripple our balanced understanding of the scriptures and our Lord. In my opinion, this is critical to our understanding so that we don’t go off thinking everything we don’t understand or feel within our lives is demonic: as in most cases it simply is not, rather it is a result of poor understanding, and our emotionally charged thought life.
Often times people who are unbalanced in their understanding of the Bible have distorted to various degrees it’s contexts. It almost goes without saying that, this is how most “Cult” leaders (perhaps unwittingly) deceive others!
I for one have learned this the hard ways to various degrees, and is why the late Dr. Gross always told us to check out what he taught us with the Lord, and not to believe it on face value alone. The reason he said, was that anyone who was more convincing then himself, could lead you down a path that was deceptive. I think that is very sound advice, and it has served me well throughout my Christian life.
It is only natural for most people to have a love for themselves first, and then others. This is why we must not get prone to following men. I have met very well-meaning people who love to share with others their faith in Jesus Christ; and that is a wonderful attribute! Yet one of the principles for an Elder in the Bible is to run their own household well! This is very important for several reasons, but foremost is how they are in dealing with other people, besides themselves. The wisdom is in these texts: Titus 1:6-9 & 1 Timothy 3:1-7.
I have put Titus 1:6-9 first, as it focuses on not being self-willed, loving his wife, and faithful children. Verse 9 speaks about; knowing sound doctrine, as it is (properly) taught, encourage others and being able to refute (Bible) error by those who would oppose it.
1 Timothy 3:1-7 says much the same thing, but Titus 1:6-9 has fewer words; and I will emphasize verse 6, as it talks about not being filled with pride, and a good testimony with others so he won’t be disgraced or snared by Satan.
Those are some very tough standards for an Elder, yet all of them are present for very good reasons, not the least of which is our testimonial to Christ. We have all seen charlatans preach on T.V. a distorted and self-aggrandizing Gospel, which takes on a kind of carnival (Carnal) atmosphere. Most mature believers find this repulsive, and yet oftentimes these selfish preachers love taking pot shots at other ministers, even some who are sound in the faith because of their own pre-conceived beliefs; yet if they are unfounded by scripture it may be just a matter of different opinions.
We see this throughout the scriptures as well, and is why we must be careful that we build up the body of Christ (in love for God) – rather than simply propping up our own beliefs in the flesh. The best answer for not overstepping ourselves, is in accountability not only to the Lord, but to others brethren in humility, rather than a self-righteous pride which many may struggle with, even unknowingly.
How can I write these, things you may ask? That’s very simple to answer, I have done it myself!
If we truly love others more than ourselves, we must understand that we all struggle with similar “conditions of the soul” and be willing to make allowances for others shortfalls, with this we can grow and be of even more help to the Lord as well as edifying our own walks.
I am not speaking about allowing sinfulness in a fellowship at all; rather I am simply addressing that we do not become dogmatic in our Bible doctrines to the point that it destroys others!

It is very important to understand one’s Bible as it is the basis of who God is, who fallen man is, and the provision given to all who would put their faith in Christ. Nowadays we have allot of spotty Bible understanding, presented via YouTube and other social media platforms. So, it is more important then ever before to have at least a solid foundaitional understanding of the Gospel; namely Jesus Christ, in relationship to the Heavenly Father, the Holy Spirit, sinful humanity, and the Salvation Process. * In its broadest sense salvation includes regeneration, justification, sanctification, and glorification. I would suggest instead of watching the rantings and ravings of many YouTube preachers, that you visit many other “Foundational Truths” which are ministered to us by men of the past. Who deeply understood our Lord, and their Bible.

No, it is by having a humble and contrite heart towards the Lord himself in faith by which we enter; and not “once removed” doctrines about the broad road or even the narrow road – as it is Christ Himself by which we are Saved “by Grace” for the day of redemption, and it is He alone we must learn to follow.

I’ve lived on “both sides of the tracks” and in all that time it was very rare to find those who could function in the things of God, while understanding solid Bible teachings. It seems to be either one or the other is understood – instead of a balanced Biblical understanding of both.
From the widow’s mite to the washing of feet; Jesus always alluded to the paradox between the world and the kingdom of God in this manner. Christian, why do you look down upon your brother or sister as being beneath you?

Have you ever met anyone who will not acknowledge when they are wrong? A believer would never take such a position, as they are acutely aware of their need for a Savior and will move in absolute humility rather than pride!

I have found that hidden self righteous pride, is much more detrimental to ones spiritual growth, than being humble and honest enough to go to the Lord for help and forgiveness! To me, it is much more important to be a friend rather than just a rigid instructor of the faith.

This is a difficult post for me to try and put across, it encompasses years of the Lord showing himself to me while he was working in my life.
We are now living in the age that Matthew 24: 24 applies.
24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
Early on, while dating my wife to be; I can still recall the Lord assuring me that “my life was in his hands”. I did not comprehend at the time the totality in that meaning; I had not had my “near death experience” of Christ lying shoulder to shoulder next to me, nor was I in the Church leadership after I returned home from my orders under Operation Enduring Freedom. I had watched the leadership in the church become more and more institutionalized, as they focused on “building” a larger church body.
I became frustrated because of what I could plainly see, I surpassed all the training at the time because of my personal study under Dr. Gross for six years in street ministry, and Dr. Gross was one of the top exorcists in Baltimore City. I later told the Lord I wanted to be like Paul and Silos; and like them, effective for the Lord so that the enemy would know who I was, and not just pew stuffing in some church!
I then suffered my heart attack and NDE while in the U.S. Army, who were instrumental in saving my life while in water survival; and without which I would not have survived the ordeal.
A week later my new proximal lad stent had started to clot again. They rushed me down the corridor to have more emergency stenting. I told the nurse to tell my wife she was the best thing that had ever happened to me, and I insisted! The nurse (who I had never seen before) spoke very calmly to me exclaiming, “ Mr. Dell, the enemy knows who you are; but this will not stop what the Lord has planned for You” !!!
I was simply speechless, as I knew then that this woman was used of God in showing me he had heard my prayer! Incidentally, this all occurred like a silver thread that has run throughout my life in providence. I had asked the Lord not to have to serve in the Army more than I was obligated too, this echoed the words of a Lieutenant I had know in the Coast Guard, who told me during the reduction in force that the Coast Guard was not his God! It was almost my 20 year mark with the Army Reserve Watercraft now, and 23 years for pay purposes. It was also just three days after my ordination as a minister, and I was soon to get accredited by the reformed Baptists.
As I continued to struggle with getting my accreditation’s, mostly for what I learned under Dr. Gross years before; something very strange happened. I felt led to a room opposite my office where I was writing my thesis. As I entered this guest bedroom, I could feel a calm presence within, and out of the corner of my eyes I could make out what appeared to be the Lord; but this time the ghostly image was in color, not just black and white pushing in next to me, as when my heart stopped!
Honestly, although it was a wonderful experience, it scared me a bit; so I called my old mentor the late Dr. Gross on the phone, and explained to him what just had happened. He instinctively asked me; “where did this happen”? I told him opposite my computer room and office; then he said, “ Roland, don’t you see, it is the Lord telling you to follow him”!!! I had become so busy in attempting to prove myself to men, it seems I had sort of lost focus on my Lord!
Not too long ago, I was deeply involved with a couple men who espouse a type of “Lordship Salvation group” on the net. The leader of this group excepted me with great love in a 7 year Skype relationship. I finally felt accepted by one who seemed to understand just how the Lord functioned. Friction then started with a young brother who likened everything to being tied to Rome and the Illuminati. I tried desperately to communicate with this young brother about what I had learned of secret organizations in the past; but he would have none of it, as he knew I supported Donald Trump for president, who he despised.
The supposed “elder” would not intervene, and relationships with other internet “Christian whack jobs” which he allowed “into the fold” just increased. I am an open person, but I do not like being spied on by sanctimonious dingbats who think that they know better than anyone else; you know the types!
This all came to a head about the same time doctors discovered I had a vary serious infection to my hearts hardware which the military installed.
I was then accused of being “chastened of God” by the group fellowship leader, as being political minded instead of “God minded” read carnal. I do know one thing however, the Lord used this very serious event in my life to “rip me from this Lordship Salvation Cult”, in which the leader exclaims that he is so sanctified that he no longer sins, he just has glitches in the flesh!
I now must ask myself, “what was I thinking”? But in a time of strong delusions and wickedness abounding all over the world, peoples like these are bound to show up on stage; so to speak. The lesson I learned was don’t allow anyone to dictate how the Lord works his salvation and sanctification within your life. The Lord is so far above and ahead of the “paygrade” of any human being within the world that it is laughable to think that anyone can achieve such spiritual wisdom in judging another’s walk; that is – apart from blatant sin and rebellion against God.
It is more likely to be seen as a blatant rebellion against the leaders perceived authority, which he is actually reacting too; as no one is needed in defending the infallible and almighty Lord of heaven and earth!
To all committed followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, remember that mere men are fallible; my best advice I can give – is what the Lord gave to me; FOLLOW HIM and no one else, in these days of strong delusions!
I will close with what my dear old mother reminded me of tonight: ROMANS 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

One’s perceived Holiness or walking in the Holy Spirit of truth, should never depend upon one’s own viewpoint of the scriptures, nor idiosyncratic emotions. False teachers are big on using such manipulations to gain favor with others and then build their own following. I do not believe all people who engage in such teachings is always on a conscious level; rather they have been deceived into believing that they have found the only or “narrow road” to fellowshipping with our Lord.
Matthew 24:24 24 For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, to mislead, if possible, even the elect.
I know a brother who dogmatically insists that his own spiritual experiences have taught him over the years just who are the “Goats” and who are indeed “Sheep”. He decides who’s allowed in the “Sheep Fold” who is not, and even who is to be rejected among the brethren! He does not enforce these principles by using balanced Biblical doctrines, nor even confer with other elders before deciding to eject the member; he does this as a matter of self-righteous pride, and his distorted sense of self-worth, and perceived authority in Christ! This is very dangerous in deciding who are the weeds, goats, wolves, dogs, and pigs. Only the Lord Jesus Christ himself can know who the Father gives unto him. Fallen humanity uses discernment, when in line with the authority of the scriptures alone.
Below is what a brother recently shared with me, in what he (like myself) has painfully discovered over the years.
“Roland, here is a list of 5 things I learned about “spiritual leaders”. I wrote this in 2014.
If you are not with them or believe like them, you are not of God.
Your value is based on your performance. How you perform is how you are regarded. (No intrinsic value).
You are only truly loved if you are fully submitted to them. If you rebel against their authority or control in anyway, you are being influenced by Satan.
Control and manipulation is enforced through fear, condemnation, confusion, and partial truths. Twisting the truth is common.
There is a “drawing” to the leader. The leader will come in the form of a friend at first. After your heart is opened and exposed to accept the person or group of people, the manipulation and control begins.”
I post this today, as I am continually troubled by the zeal of deception which is broadcast now weekly. The man and his followers are convinced that they follow “but Christ alone” with no amount of human sin being present in their members. They will condemn anyone or anything who would find disagreement with them, and their favorite targets are not Marxist – Liberation Theology; but rather the Evangelical Bible believing church! They systematically pick apart what “they see” as heresies even found within Christian fundamentals. They say that they are not involved with the world, or the world’s systematic theologies, apologetics, policy, politics and even geography. Yet they continually beat down any semblance of the Christian informed peoples of the past, and any attempt at restoring a level of decency in the postmodern world! These brothers but bury themselves within their own sanctimonious behaviors and beliefs; yet stand in condemnation to anyone who would try and convert others to the principles of sound doctrine in scriptures, Christ, or even Biblical ethics, as being a lover of the world more than Christ!
Like a bunch of committed communists working towards their revolutionary goal in converting the world to their way of thinking; these misplaced beliefs, like a Communist are destructive, but even worse unlike a Communist, they claim to represent Christ, yet with having a distorted viewpoint of the Lord. This poor brother, continually pounds on the Church (false and or real – in my estimation) along with anyone who believes the “State of Israel” is still tied to the coming prophesies of the Bible; and for my favorite twist, they especially hate Evangelicals who support Donald Trump as President!
These people teach avoidance of anyone who would challenge or disagree with their so-called discernment’s as being non-believers, and have deceived themselves (and others) that only they, and people like them, who agree with them that they, are the “chosen remnant”, who in the end will be with the Lord! This is a shameful and gut-wrenching pride which I feel is my duty to point out as a minister of the Gospel, and as someone who has inside knowledge of these types of characters!

I’ve witnessed those who have allot of zeal in attempting to serve the Lord, yet people who attack others in their faith (aside from addressing sin) is unmerited and abusive, often from a deep seated and self righteous pride, which is obviously not detected from those who practice such pettiness…
Romans 2: 1-4 speaks of how the Lord views such people.
1 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.
2 But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.
3 And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?
4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

One’s effectiveness in understanding the scriptures is not just rooted in sound doctrine, but rather it is rooted in just how much the Lord has chosen to show you about himself!
I had learning disabilities (dyslexia) since childhood, I was tested and tested again in the 1960’s to pinpoint how I could best learn to read and write and function in memorization of academia. My hyper activity didn’t help much in applying myself to my studies neither did being slapped in the head and parental frustrations that only helped to tear down my self esteem, which I did not overcome till in my 30’s in still feeling marginalized and substandard till the Lord saw fit to give me a supportive wife, the love of my life!
However, the Lord is not a respecter of men, but rather looks upon the heart to see who earnestly seeks to know him and love him. It is humility and not pride which enables the Lord to show his son’s and daughters his great love for them, and a greater insight into who He is!
I was also very fortunate to have a mother who came to know Jesus Christ and offered me encouragement and scriptural direction as a teenager. This served me well in my early years in avoiding the pitfalls of false teachings and even cults. I went into the Coast Guard partially to get away from home in which I often felt the scapegoat in a well-educated but sometimes dysfunctional family setting. My biggest desire was in being a man in my own right, with a personal walk and understanding with the Lord. Yet more then not, I found my faith challenged and often scuttled by those who thought more highly of themselves than they should. I’m speaking about the Religious Community, often well-trained men who were proud of their accomplishments while in College or in business.
The “Church” is not immune to such men, in fact it oftentimes tends to breed self-righteous and pride by many who join its ranks. A social status creeps in educationally, financially, and spiritually as to how “fit” one is to be serving the Lord. I could go down a long , long, list on how the Lord has shown me himself working within my life, but it would take too long to write about all the supernatural things which I have learned in life.
Little things like a newspaper page blowing between my feet, showing me a neighbor who had passed away, to larger things like a plaque on a statue of a Civil War soldier which bore my name: as I had been praying about its meaning. The really supernatural part of this is that after decades of searching for the statue that the Lord used to speak to me, under “Roland (Park) Dell”, (which is what I saw engraved on the placard) yet it actually reads Whyman Park Dell in Baltimore Maryland; both near where I studied under a brilliant Pastor having 23 years in seminary , three doctorates, and many spiritual giftings such as healing;“but only” when the Lord moved him to do so, as well as being one of two top exorcists in the city.
I once surpassed the training for Deacons and Elders because of what I learned under the late Dr. Gross, but it seems I wasn’t their “cup of tea” so to speak, or just maybe they felt uncomfortable having Christ-in-me around, as the Holy Spirit really shined on me that day, even apart from a Harvard educated Elder who could find no fault in what I had learned. But again, I experienced rejection from a place I had thought I would gain acceptance. I see many people who argue doctrinal points while quoting the scripture, and theological positions as to why a statement is out of contexts or even wrong. But what I rarely see is someone who can give insight as to why the Lord did what he did, especially when involving Jesus or the Holy Spirit. The lack of understanding is usually because a limited understanding in who God is; shall I say (as a personality), for lack of a better description. This is often found to be the case as the one teaching may be Biblically illiterate, or worse yet, does not have a mature relationship with the Lord!
It is the same type of situation as one speaking about your Father with authority and understanding, but do not know him, or oftentimes have never even met him! I would much rather listen to a person who knows my father, than one who knows all about my father : are you getting my point? But the world is a proud and sinful place, and really has little use for us dime a dozen simple followers of Christ.
That’s why I believe the scripture teaches that if a man loves the world, the love of the father is not in him; no matter how well trained or religious. The other twist to this equation is one who judges their brother in having “not loved the Lord enough”; or should I say, that they deem him in loving the world more!? That is the inherent Religious Pride aspect often found within many a church system, even if they only ever use the term Ekklesia when describing themselves.
Yeah, to understand your Bible is not just about the texts on a page, but the relationship one has with their heavenly Father.

Since this is my web page and ministry, I decided to post this most basic truth of the Gospel.
I painfully became aware after 7 years of fellowship with a legalistic “Lordship Salvation” group on the net; the complete lack of love shown to me, in one of the greatest trials of my life while facing the very real possibility of my my own death, for the second time around! Many of my earlier videos reflect the very sharp teachings of a brother who is so dogmatic in the faith – that he has forgotten about his own fallibility and even has convinced himself and others of “their own righteousness” by a “continual abiding” in Christ! This is a very dangerous and deceptive trap, as even to those who have been truly born again of spirit, should never become so proud in condemning others for not keeping legalism. Or in other words, believe that they have something to do with moving into the Kingdom of God in and of their own efforts!!!
I chose to publish this video on the site as an example to such heretical teachings while using the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and subverting the Gospel into something the Lord never intended it to be! I would hope that people could learn from my mistakes, rather than having to suffer the consequences in listening to “another Gospel” like I made the mistake in doing!
I know that most of my traffic comes from being one of the original followers of “Lucas Labrador”, ( I will be gracious and not use his real name) who I was ingratiated with for a solid seven years, until Donald Trump got elected a President; and I was later accused of being “chastened of God” for my political views by this “dog”, as for an infection on my heart’s hardware I received while in the military. Which has since been removed by the man who invented laser surgery to the heart, and the Lord graciously allowed me to meet, Praise God!
I may not be the best public speaker, but I can tell you that I have never been a “boot licker” ; once I discover an unrepentant personality disorder in which * I believe is used in twisting the Gospel of the Lord for their own following having become devoid of Grace, “puffed up” in exclusiveness, while comparing himself to other brethren and full of Spiritual Pride in attempting to follow the Lord – unlike any other.
I earnestly beseech you to listen to what is being said by Dr. Prince, as it is the most fundamental aspect of the Gospel and Faith in Jesus Christ alone,which you will ever need to live a victorious life in Christ!
